Henry Jones

Henry Jones is a cellist from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance at the University of South Dakota, where he studies under Dr. Sonja Kraus.

At USD, Henry performs with the USD Symphony Orchestra and is an active member of Ensemble Zusammen, a cello ensemble directed by Dr. Kraus. A passionate chamber musician, Henry also plays in a university piano trio. In addition to his chamber music, from 2021 to 2024, he served as the assistant principal cellist of the South Dakota Symphony Youth Orchestra from 2021-2024. And was a finalist in the SDSYO Concerto Competition in both 2023 and 2024.
