Jane Sibley

I was born and raised in Sioux City and began taking piano lessons from my mother at the age of seven. I started violin at nine and organ at fourteen. I began playing for church that same year and have continued that endeavor ever since. I attended Morningside College, receiving degrees in elementary education, humanities, and church organ.

I taught two years in Bloomington, Minnesota, then returned to Sioux City, where I taught in the public schools for 39 years. I have been blessed to be the organist at many different churches, including First United Methodist. Teaching at the Music Academy is fun and rewarding and gives me a wonderful opportunity to work again with children.
